Erased Rauschenberg

In 1953, Robert Rauschenberg erased a pencil drawing by the artist Willem de Kooning and presented it in this new state as a work in itself. With the help of his friend Jasper Johns, he framed it and gave it the title Erased de Kooning Drawing, posing that the work of art can be born as much from the erasure of signs as from their most common accumulation. I thought in return that there was no better tool than rubber to finalize the portrait I drew of Rauschenberg himself.
